Heritage Institute of Technology has commenced their admission process for the session 2024-25. Students can now check the status of their JEE Main 2024 session one result online. JEE Main 2024 session 2 registration is ongoing and will end on March 02, 2024.

Established in 2001, the Heritage Institute of Technology is a private institution in Kolkata managed by Kalyan Bharti Trust. It has been affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The institute is accredited by NAAC and NBA and is approved by the AICTE. Heritage Institute of Technology ranked within the band 201-250 among all Engineering Universities by NIRF 2022.

Heritage Institute of Technology admission process for B.Tech is based on the score obtained in the JEE Main. Result for JEE Main 2024 session 1 is released by NTA. Students can register for the session 2 of the JEE Main 2024 exam by March 02, 2024 to become eligible for admission to this college. For Heritage Institute of Technology admission to M.Tech, GATE score card is required. GATE 2024 exam has been concluded and the result is scheduled to be announced on March 16, 2024.

Heritage Institute of Technology admissions are based on the entrance exams.      with the following objectives :

   a) Reciprocal exchange of faculty, Staff and students;

   b) Engagement in joint research projects;

   c) Fostering exchange of academic publications and information;

   d) Promotion of other academic activities.

Heritage Institute of Technology campus has been equipped with useful amenities. Classrooms are equipped with overhead projectors. A medical unit is available on the campus besides arrangements with hospitals located nearby. Based on student demand, two-way transportation is given at specified hours from key sites in Kolkata. There's a postal facility available nearby at East Kolkata Township P.O . DTDC facility is also available for the faculty, staff and students. Students can enjoy the benefit of netsurfing and online studies in the central computer facility available at the campus. HIT campus also has a Satellite Interactive Terminal (SIT), installed by ISRO and WBUT for providing video call facility to all students and faculty members.  The Institute has common rooms (separately for boys and girls) equipped with indoor games facilities like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess etc.
